Father of the accused. Recognized FBI stills, confronted his son, and with a retired-deputy family friend drove him to Washington County Sheriff's Office the evening of 11 Sep 2025.
Public reporting (BBC voter rolls; CBS law-enforcement sources) names him as the parent who saw the stills. Charging-document quotations later have the accused telling Twiggs his father is MAGA, wants photos of the unique rifle, and is “far scarier than any fed.” Those are quoted messages, not the father’s testimony. Do not treat family politics as motive proof.
