Bolt-action hunting rifle with scope, one spent round, three unfired engraved cartridges, found wrapped in a towel in woods north of campus. State: grandfather's rifle, Robinson's DNA on trigger and parts.
Weapon recovery is not the same as weapon-to-wound. ATF could not identify the autopsy jacket fragment to this rifle (inconclusive, not exclusion). Defense also pressed ATF chain of custody on the gun. Fingerprints: Owens says the public has an FBI summary, not the digitized lifts, and that other prints exist. Those discovery fights belong in the docket; they are not yet resolved in this file.
